Peabody Conservatory-based cello-piano duo of Alicia Ward and Kimberly Kong will contrast Mendelssohn’s and Fauré’s Romantic-era bookends with Ginastera’s Argentinian gaucho-singing declamations, meditations, vigorous folk rhythms, and frenzied dance elements .

  • Outstanding locally-based ensembles
  • Baltimore Symphony Orchestra members
  • Musicians from other orchestras in the region
  • Johns Hopkins Peabody Institute faculty
  • Other college & university music faculty
  • All active chamber music performers

The musicians introduce the music with their insights and interpretation. The audience is invited to enjoy light refreshments and conversation with the artists after the performance.

Concerts start at 3:00 and end around 5:00
at Christ Episcopal Church, Columbia, MD

High school students admitted free.
Younger children admitted free with an adult.
